Version 1.9.3

All 22 changes
  • Refresh matching store descriptions, three screenshots and Chrome promotional tiles using the production panel with example data.
  • Correct Firefox compatibility metadata to advertise desktop support only.
  • Register native hosts for targeted setup, avoid duplicate native Codex registrations, preserve nested configuration during migration, and check the clients actually configured.
  • Document sparse Codex marketplace installation and validate setup from the published package layout.
  • Restrict download events to their originating controlled tab and session, remove the unused downloads permission, and redact private URL components and local directory paths.
  • Prevent one session from taking another session's tab without release.
  • Restore temporary headers, user-agent overrides, preload scripts, and media settings on finalization; retain failed cleanup for retry.
  • Redact private URL components from network observation and report environment configuration failures.
  • Compare visible controls and bounded PNG screenshots with session-scoped baselines and pixel-diff artifacts.
  • Discover and inspect frames with explicit depth/count limits, bridge Firefox frame identities across reconnects, and discover experimental WebMCP tools without execution.
  • Name tab groups on session creation and propagate URL policy to controlled popups, redirects and frame inspection.
  • Add a local first-run guide and optional background release notes, plus a reproducible target-selection fixture benchmark.
  • Extract browser expressions and observation projection into focused modules and expand lint coverage.
  • Complete the strict TypeScript migration for the CLI, native runtime and both extension builds; validate message and stored-memory boundaries.
  • Defer CLI command modules and local model libraries until needed, and scope child-process cancellation with Effect.
  • Preserve typed embedding rows, account for repeated resource URLs correctly, and reject disconnected Firefox requests immediately.
  • Expand lint to all production TypeScript and verify the installed package’s public declarations.
  • Update runtime dependencies and pinned release actions, migrate to Effect 4, and remove obsolete development helpers.

Keep your tools in step.

Published installations can update the local runtime to match the extension. Check Settings → Updates. Updates wait for managed agent processes to exit; running sessions keep their version.

First time using automatic updates?

Run setup once from the current release:

npx -y opencode-chromium@latest setup --all

When current work has finished, reopen your browser and agent app to load the new updater. Development checkouts and pinned commands stay under your control. No browser or agent app is forcibly restarted.

Prefer fewer tabs? Turn off Show release notes after updates in the extension’s setup guide.
